Bangladesh has six seasons. I like all of them, but my favorite is the rainy season. It's the second season here, during the Bengali months called "Ashar" and "Shraban." The rainy season brings nice things and beautiful sights and sounds, so it's my top pick.

This season is like a gift for our country. Everyone in Bangladesh becomes really happy when it comes.

Rainy season happens because of something called monsoon. The monsoon wind comes from the Bay of Bengal and brings lots of water vapor. This causes heavy rain, and that's when the rainy season starts.

People really like the rainy season. It brings lots of rain, and the sky gets covered with clouds. Sometimes, we don't see the sun for several days. Sometimes, it rains very, very hard.

Rivers, canals, and ponds get filled with water, and sometimes they overflow. Fields get covered with water, too. The rainy season makes everything cool and fresh. It also cleans the air. Going on a boat trip during this time is really interesting. The roads become muddy and slippery because of the rain. The rain washes away the dirt, making the country look very green. This is also when fruits like mangoes, blackberries, jackfruits, and lychees start to grow.

Bangladesh depends a lot on farming. Rainwater helps the crops grow. Rainwater makes the soil good for farming. People can travel by boat easily during this season.

But when it rains a lot, the roads become muddy and slippery. This is hard for poor people and those who work during the day. They can't go outside to work.

Animals like cows and goats also face difficulties. Some diseases like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery can spread. Sometimes, there are big floods that wash away our crops and houses.

Even though there are challenges, the rainy season is important for us. Bangladesh mostly relies on farming. Our farming needs this season. Trees grow lots of green leaves. We can start planting rice in the fields, and jute plants grow fast.

The sound of rain makes us think and imagine. Poets write beautiful poems about the rainy season because it looks so nice.

The rainy season is good for the economy of our country and for the well-being of our people. It helps nature come alive again. This season is the most important and helpful one in Bangladesh. It's the best of all the seasons here. We always welcome the rainy season and enjoy how beautiful it is.
