Write a letter to your Foreign friend telling him about the folk songs of Bangladesh.

Dear Shovon,

I hope this letter finds you well. I'm doing fine myself. In your previous letter, you asked about the traditional songs from Bangladesh that people often sing. I'm excited to share that information with you now.

Folk songs are like special songs that many people in Bangladesh really enjoy. These songs are an important part of our lives and are even more popular than other types of Bengali music. Some of the famous people who sing these songs are Lalon Fokir, Radharaman Dutta, Hason Raja, Khursheed Nurali (Sheerazi), Ramesh Shill, and Abbas Uddin. Baul songs are a type of folk song, and they are mostly inspired by Lalon Fokir. These songs are mostly sung by hermits, which are people who live alone and like to be close to nature.

There are different kinds of folk songs too, like Bhandari, Bhatiali, Bhawaiya, Dhamail, Jari, Sari, Gombhira, and Ghazal. Each of these types has its own unique style and words. One cool thing about folk songs is that they're really simple to sing and play. Long ago, before radios became popular, people in the countryside used to watch folk singers perform on stages for entertainment.

That's all for today. Please take good care of yourself. Send my warm regards to your parents.

Stay well and happy.

Your caring friend,
Shuvo
