Paragraph | A Garment Worker
The person who works in a garment factory is a garment worker. There are many garment industries in our country. About 5 million people work there. More than 90% workers are female. Generally a female garment worker may be illiterate or have a little education. She lives in a slum. She gets up early in the morning. After cooking food and taking breakfast, she starts for her workplace on foot or by a crowded bus. On the way to the factory and home a section of bad people tease her. In the factory, she does not get a congenial atmosphere. She has to work more than twelve hours. Sometimes her bosses ill-treat her. But she tolerates everything silently. At the end of the month, she gets a poor salary. After paying house-rent, she remains some money to support herself. If she gets any disease, she cannot go to a doctor. Though she has a great contribution to our economy, she has no social identity or dignity. In fact, she leads a very miserable life. So we should respect her for her contribution. At the same time, we ought to ensure her security.
