Story | A Talking Skull

One day a hunter found a dead human skull in a forest. The hunter asked the skull, What brought you here?" The skull answered, Talking brought me here." Being surprised the hunter ran straight to the king and told him everything. The king did not believe him. However, the king sent a guard to see the matter. He also ordered him to kill the hunter if he had lied. The hunter came to the skull and asked "What brought you here?" The skull did not give any answer. The hunter tried all day long to make the skull speak but failed. So the guard following the king's order killed the hunter and went away Now the dead skull asked the dead hunter, "What brought you here?" The dead hunter replied, "Talking brought me here."

Moral : Rumour spreads through talking.
