Story | Three Friends And A Bag Of Gold
Once upon a time, there were three friends who lived in a village. They were very poor and didn't have much money. Because of their lack of wealth, they decided to go somewhere else to find a way to earn money. One day, they started a journey with hopes of finding better opportunities. They pretended to be honest and loyal to each other, but secretly, they were actually selfish and greedy. Each one of them wanted to become rich by any means necessary.
While they were traveling through a dense forest, they stumbled upon a bag filled with gold coins. They were extremely happy and excited to discover such a valuable treasure. They sat down under a shady tree to discuss what to do with it. Eventually, they agreed to divide the coins equally among themselves. However, deep down, each of them wanted to have the entire treasure for themselves.
After some time, they became hungry. One of them decided to go to the nearby town to get some food. But this person had an evil plan. They bought poison and secretly added it to the food they brought back. They wanted to kill the other two friends so they could keep all the treasure for themselves. Meanwhile, the other two friends were even more greedy. They had already plotted to kill the third friend and split the coins equally between themselves.
As soon as the third friend returned with the poisoned food, the other two attacked and murdered him. They were so desperate for food that they quickly devoured the meal without realizing it was poisoned. Shortly after finishing their meal, they lost consciousness and died.
Moral:

He who digs a pit for others, falls himself into it.
