Report | The celebration Pahela Baishakhi celebrated by Sylhet Cadet College.

Staff Correspondent: The students of Sylhet Cadet College celebrated Pahela Baishakhi by holding a cultural function at the college auditorium yesterday. The Principal of the college inaugurated and presided over the programme that started at 10.00am. The General Officer Commanding was present as the chief guest. The auditorium was specially decorated on the occasion. The college authorities formed different committees comprising teachers and students to stage the programmed. All the committee members worked hard to make the show a success. The programmed began with a chorus in which every student, both from stage and audience took part. Other items that followed included songs, dance, recitation, band music and so on. The programmed ended through staging a short drama that criticized the unruly youths and their manner to celebrate the New Year. All the teachers and students were present and enjoyed the programmed very much. Earlier in their speeches. Both the principal and the chief guest conveyed their New Year greetings to the students and faculty members. They also thanked everyone for holding such a wonderful show.
