Camel and the Jackal Story
Once upon a time, in a thick forest, there were two pals – a camel and a jackal. They lived close to a river. One sunny day, the jackal found out about a field full of ripe, juicy melons on the other side of the river. His mouth started watering at the thought of those tasty melons, but there was a problem: he couldn't swim across the river.
So, the jackal went to his friend, the camel, and told him about the melons. The camel also felt tempted by the idea of a melon feast. He kindly agreed to help the jackal by carrying him on his back to the other side of the river.
They finally reached the melon field and happily began munching on the delicious fruits. However, the jackal couldn't contain his excitement and started howling loudly. This noise alerted the owner of the field, who rushed over and angrily started beating the poor camel.
After the owner left, the camel turned to the jackal and asked why he had howled, to which the jackal casually replied, "I always howl after a big meal; it's just my habit." Both of them then headed back to the river, with the jackal riding on the camel's back.
But as they reached the middle of the water, the camel began rolling around in the river, causing panic for the jackal. Confused and struggling to stay afloat, the jackal managed to ask, "Why are you rolling in the water?" The camel calmly responded, "I always roll in the water after a heavy meal; it's just my habit." This left the jackal in a perilous situation, desperately trying to save himself.
The moral of the story is simple: treat others as they treat you – "tit for tat."
