The Ass, The Cock, and The Lion
The Donkey, The Rooster, and The Lion
Once upon a time, there was a rooster living in a village. One sunny morning, a donkey came to talk to him. The donkey chatted about where they find their food. The donkey mentioned a place under a tree where they could both find plenty of food. The rooster agreed, thinking they could share the food and became friends.
All of a sudden, a lion arrived on the scene. When the lion saw the rooster and the donkey, he thought, "I don't need to go far to find my next meal. If I catch either the rooster or the donkey, I'll have food."
The rooster, scared, flew up onto a branch of the tree and made a loud, strange noise. Surprised by this unexpected sound, the lion got frightened and quickly ran away from there. The donkey, not understanding what had happened, believed that the lion was scared of him. So, the donkey began to follow the lion, not realizing that it was the rooster's noise that had scared the lion away.
Once they were far enough from the rooster, the lion thought maybe the donkey was also scared of the rooster's noise. With this idea, the lion turned back to face the donkey and saw the donkey trailing behind him. Seizing the opportunity, the lion attacked the donkey and sadly, the donkey lost its life.
The lesson we learn from this story is that having false confidence can often lead us into dangerous situations.
