Belling the Cat Short Story

Once upon a time, there was a big group of mice that lived in a small house. The house always had plenty of corn, so the mice never had any problems with food. The person who owned the house knew about the mice causing trouble. To deal with this, the owner brought in a cat.

Once the cat arrived, the mice couldn't move around freely anymore. If they tried to move, the cat would always catch them. This made life very difficult for the mice. They got together to figure out what to do. One clever mouse came up with an idea: they could put a bell around the cat's neck. That way, whenever the cat came close, the mice would hear the bell and know to stay away.

But then came the important question: "Who will be brave enough to put the bell on the cat?" Everyone was quiet. They realized that the idea was good, but it was hard to put into action.

The lesson we learn from this story is that thinking of a plan is one thing, but actually making it work is a whole different challenge.
