The Goat and The Wolf : Short Story for Kids
Once upon a time, there was a goat happily eating grass near her owner's house. Out of the blue, she noticed some tasty-looking grass growing on the roof of the house.
Feeling curious and hungry for a treat, she jumped onto the roof and began munching on the fresh green grass. Suddenly, a wolf appeared on the scene. The wolf saw the goat and started to imagine how delicious she would taste.
However, the wolf couldn't figure out how to reach the goat on the roof. Frustrated, he decided to leave and find an easier meal. The goat noticed the wolf's hungry expression and couldn't help but make fun of him, secretly laughing to herself and giving him teasing looks.
The wolf felt embarrassed and powerless since he couldn't get to the goat. As he walked away, he looked up at her and said, "Hey there, little one! It's not really you mocking me; it's the fact that you're up so high. Your elevated position is what's making you feel important. Remember, if you were down here like me, things might be very different for you."
Moral of the story: Where you are and your position can affect how others see you and how you see yourself.
