The Donkey's Brain Story

Once upon a time, there was a really angry lion who lived in the forest. He had a jackal friend who helped him. They always went together to find food. The lion hunted animals, and the jackal got some food too for helping.

One day, the lion got sick and couldn't go out to find food. He was very hungry. He called the jackal and said, "Hey, my friend, I'm hungry. But I'm too sick to hunt. Can you please help me get some food?"

The jackal went to find something to eat. Finally, he found a donkey. He told the donkey, "Hi there, Mr. Donkey! The forest king wants to make you his helper." The silly donkey was so happy that he didn't realize what was going on. He followed the jackal.

The lion killed the donkey, but then he got really thirsty. He told the jackal, "Look after the donkey. I'll be back soon."

When the lion went away, the jackal started eating the donkey's brain. When the lion came back, he saw that the donkey's brain was missing.

He asked the jackal, "Where is the donkey's brain?" The jackal answered nervously, "If the donkey had a brain, would he have come here?"

MORAL: Thinking a little can save a lot.
