I hope you're doing well. I wanted to let you know that I won't be able to make it to the weekly club meeting this Friday. Unfortunately, I have a special reason that prevents me from attending.

My mother is not feeling well and has a fever. I need to take her to the doctor on Friday, so I won't be able to join the meeting. I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause.
