Internet Composition
The 1900s saw a big leap in science, allowing people to control the world with lots of hard work. The Internet, a mix of satellite tech and computers, was a big deal from this time. It helped people all over the world.
Internet Meaning: The word "Internet" is short for International Network. It's the newest tech for sharing messages, info, and pictures quickly all around the world. Many people can use it through different computers that connect to a main computer. This makes a big network all over the world. The Internet's most important part is the World Wide Web (WWW), which means the global connections it makes.
History of the Internet: The Internet started not too long ago. In 1960, the US Pentagon used it first to connect four computers called ARPANET. Then, in 1984, the National Science Foundation made Nesfonet for everyone to use. It became really popular. More networks came up, but it was hard to share info. So, they made one main network in the 1990s. By 1993, anyone could use the Internet. A lot of people liked it, and over twenty thousand networks joined in.
Types of Internet: People can use the Internet in two ways: online and offline. Online is when your computer talks straight to the service provider using a phone line. You can use it anytime. Offline is like E-mail. You send a message to a nearby computer, and it sends it later to where it needs to go. People can read their messages later. This way is cheap and fast, and it's starting to replace faxes.
Other Uses of the Internet: With the Internet, someone in Bangladesh can learn at libraries in London, read books, and print pages on a screen. You can read newspapers, talk to friends far away, and do lots of things. It's used for jobs, shopping, entertainment, and more.
Internet in Bangladesh: In 1993, Bangladesh got the Internet from ISN. Then, Grameen Cybernet wanted to bring tech to regular people. Some groups like REUTER and World Bank Mission also set up networks. Universities and newspapers started to give Internet, too. At first, you could only use E-mail, but in 1996, you could do more online. By 2002, there were sixty thousand Internet connections in Bangladesh.
Bad Things about the Internet: Like how there's bad with good, the Internet has problems, too. Bad stuff online can make young people lose their way. Viruses and stealing info can hurt computer users.
In the end, even though there are problems, the Internet is really important for all countries now. But, not everyone can afford computers. Still, Bangladesh has chances to do well in software and data entry for the world. It could earn lots of money, like the garment industry did.
