Paragraph on Annual Sports of Our College

The college's yearly prize-giving event is really exciting. It's the main highlight of the college. Our college's annual sports day took place on January 15th, filled with joy and enthusiasm. The day before the ceremony, we decorated the entire college, including the main building, with colorful flags and decorations. Some teachers instructed us on how to tastefully do the decorations. We made sure there were enough seats for the guests, teachers, and students. We even arranged for a band party to make the sports event more exciting. 

The program started at 10 am with a student from class XI carrying the Olympic torch. We raised the national flag and released some pigeons as a symbol of peace. Our Principal then saluted the march past and officially declared the sports event open. The most notable events during the sports day included races of 100 meters, 400 meters, and 800 meters, javelin throw, shot put, discus throw, long jump, high jump, pole vault, hurdle race, cycle race, weightlifting, pillow fight, and a dress-up competition. I participated in the 100-meter race, long jump, and cycle race, and I secured the first position in all three events. For each event, three participants were chosen.

The local Member of Parliament (MP) attended as the chief guest. Once all the events were finished, the chief guest distributed prizes to the winners. The winners also received certificates acknowledging their achievements. After that, the chief guest gave a meaningful speech and concluded the ceremony.
