Paragraph on Amina
Amina was married to a farmer and they had a good life. They were a happy family with seven members, including their four children, grandmother, and Amina and her husband. However, during a rainy season, the powerful Padma River flooded and destroyed all of their farmland. They managed to move their animals and belongings, but they had no place to live. They had to sell all their animals and possessions in order to buy a small piece of land to live on. Amina's husband couldn't find work, and they went through a lot of difficulties. It was very hard for both Amina and her husband to take care of themselves and their family.
During that time, Amina learned about the Grameen Bank, which gives loans to women who don't own land. She joined the Grameen Bank Co-operative and borrowed some money from the bank. With that money, she bought 20 chickens. After a few months, the chickens started laying eggs. Amina helped her family by selling these eggs. Over time, the number of chickens grew to 50 within six months, and after one year, she had 1000 chickens. Now she could support her family by selling both eggs and chickens. Amina's family became prosperous again, and she was able to improve their financial situation.
