Paragraph on Ramadan

Fasting is an important part of Islam. It becomes meaningful after performing salat, the Islamic prayer. Allah has made fasting, also known as siam or Ramadan, obligatory for adult Muslim men and women as a way to attain taqwa, a sense of consciousness and closeness to Allah. According to the hadith Qudsi, Allah will reward those who fast with His satisfaction, and the inner blessings they will receive are unknown. This helps us understand the importance of Ramadan.

The Prophet Muhammad has said that Ramadan acts as a shield for the soul. Just like a soldier uses a shield to protect themselves in battle, Ramadan shields Muslims from committing crimes, sins, and evil deeds. By observing Ramadan, Muslims are saved from the consequences of their actions. This spiritual aspect of Ramadan is very significant.

Ramadan also brings many other benefits. It helps the wealthy understand the hardships faced by the poor, bringing them closer together. Throughout the year, the wealthy often consume high-calorie foods, which can lead to various diseases. However, during Ramadan, they cannot indulge in rich meals three times a day, which helps them avoid these health issues.

In reality, the true importance of Ramadan cannot be fully expressed in words.
