Extended Family Paragraph
(a) Do you live with a big family or a small family? (b) What good things do you see in a big family? (c) What bad things are there in a big family? (d) Do you like having lots of family members? (e) Why do you like it or not like it?
I live with my parents, two brothers, grandparents, and uncles in a big family. In this kind of family, we all care about each other's feelings. We do things together in our house. My grandparents are the oldest in the family and they take care of us. So, I have not only my parents but also my grandparents and uncles to look after me. I'm never alone. Sometimes, we have guests over, and I have to share my room. Almost every week, we have special events like birthdays and happy times that we celebrate together. There are some problems with being in a big family, though. For example, during my exams, I don't want any guests around. Also, it's hard to keep things private when I have to share my room. Sometimes, I feel a bit restricted, like I'm in a cage, because I have many guardians and I can't make decisions on my own. This is a big problem in a big family, as a child might not learn how to decide things by themselves. Still, I like having a big family because we share things and care about each other. I know that life in a small family can be lonely and not so fun sometimes. So, if I can have some private time and live my own way without too many interruptions, I'll choose to stay in a big family.
