Dialogue Between Two Friends on Developing Skills in English
Zafi: Hi Zarif! How are you doing?
Zarif: I'm good, and you?
Zafi: I'm good too. How's your getting ready for the upcoming test?
Zarif: It's going well. I hope I'll get the highest grade.
Zafi: I'm worried about the test though. I'm not so good in English. Can you give me ideas on how to improve?
Zarif: Sure, to get better at English, you need to work on four skills.
Zafi: What are these skills? And how can I improve them?
Zarif: They're listening, speaking, reading, and writing. To improve writing, start with basic grammar rules.
Zafi: Got it. Anything else?
Zarif: Yup. Write a few pages every day. Learn new words and use them correctly. Keep an English diary too.
Zafi: How can I get better at reading?
Zarif: Read English newspapers daily. It'll help your reading.
Zafi: And what about saying words correctly?
Zarif: Watch BBC, CNN, National Geographic, or English news. Speaking English with classmates helps too.
Zafi: Great idea. Thanks for the help.
Zarif: You're welcome. Take care and see you.
