Subject: Challenges Faced by Students During COVID Pandemic
Dear Sir/Madam,
I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to discuss an important issue that has been affecting students greatly during the ongoing COVID pandemic. Amidst the various problems brought about by the lockdown, the disruption of students' learning process has emerged as a significant concern.
One of the main difficulties students are encountering is adjusting to online learning. This has proven to be quite challenging due to the lack of effective communication between teachers and learners. Many of us students don't always have access to the necessary facilities. Those of us who come from financially disadvantaged backgrounds are unable to afford internet connectivity for our studies. Additionally, with schools and educational institutions closed, we find ourselves confined within the walls of our homes, which makes it hard to concentrate on our studies. Learning requires a free and open mindset, something that becomes difficult in the confines of a lockdown. It's a situation where it's tough to perform as expected.
Another pressing concern is the uncertainty surrounding examinations. We invest our efforts throughout the year in preparing for these exams, but the current circumstances have cast doubts on when or how these exams will take place. While there has been some relief in the form of reduced syllabi, it's not enough to alleviate our concerns. This situation has left us feeling quite helpless, wondering who can come to our rescue.
I would like to request your kind consideration in allowing a small space on your editorial page to shed light on this matter. Raising awareness about the challenges students are facing during this pandemic can help bring attention to the issue and potentially lead to solutions.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
P.K. Das
