Letter to Your Friend About Your Favourite Game
Dear Jolly,
I hope you're doing well. Thank you so much for your letter. You talked about how cricket is considered the first game in the world and you really liked it. I understand and respect your opinion, but I want to share that cricket isn't my favorite game. I actually have two favorite games that I enjoy more: badminton and chess.
Badminton, to me, is the best among outdoor games. I find games like football and hockey too aggressive for my liking, and cricket seems a bit slow. Tennis, on the other hand, seems a bit too simple for me.
The reason I like badminton is because it gives you a lot of exercise and helps improve your quick reflexes and thinking skills. Chess, on the other hand, is like the top game for me. I'm not really interested in card games. Even though chess is a game for two players and might seem selfish, I find it very engaging. I don't see anything wrong with it. Games like bridge, even with four players, can also be seen as selfish in a way.
Some people say that chess is a slow game. But I disagree, and I think most chess players would too. To an outsider, it might look slow because two players are sitting quietly and taking a few minutes to make each move. But for the players themselves, it's really exciting the whole time. You might be teasing me about this, but that's how I feel.
Take care and stay well.
Warm regards,
Roksana
