Letter to Your Friend Informing Your Recent Activities and Present Status in Dhaka

Dear Sourob,

How's everything? I'm doing well. It's been a while since we last talked. Your letter that I got yesterday brought back some nice memories. Remember when you used to come over to my house to play in the afternoon? Those were such fun times! Guess what? I've been living in Dhaka for about a year now. I'm studying Economics at Dhaka University and staying in a hall of residence. I've also gotten to know a friendly family named Rahman. Mr. Rahman teaches at an English Medium School, and Mrs. Rahman has been working at the Turkey Embassy as a liaison officer for quite some time.

I'm having a good time here. I visit the library every afternoon and sometimes attend seminars organized by our department. These days, I'm pretty busy because I'm working on an essay about Labor and Wages. It's going to take me about a week to finish it. Last week, our teacher took us on a trip to BARD in Comilla. We visited some villages there and saw how the villagers live their tough lives. It really opened my eyes to the realities of our country. Seeing and experiencing all this makes me feel quite sad.

That's all for now. I'm really looking forward to hearing from you.

Take care,
Sonnet
