Paragraph on Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman

Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was a very important leader of Bangladesh. He helped Bangladesh become free from Pakistan in 1971 by fighting a tough war. He was born on March 17, 1920, in a rich Muslim family in Tungipara, Gopalganj district. He finished his studies from different schools and colleges.

Mujib, as people called him, was a leader from a young age. He took part in the Language Movement in 1952 and the Mass Movement in 1969. In the 1970 election, his group called Bangladesh Awami League got the most votes and became very strong, but the rulers of Pakistan didn't want to give up their power.

Because of this, on March 26, 1971, Mujib declared that Bangladesh was its own independent country. But he was caught by the Pakistani Army. Still, under his leadership, Bangladesh fought a war for freedom and won on December 16, 1971.

People loved him a lot and called him "Bangabandhu" and "The Father of the Nation" because he really cared for his country. Sadly, he was killed on August 15, 1975, by some confused military people. This was a big loss for Bangladesh and the world too.
