The liar shepherd boy and the tiger wolf story or the cowboy and the wolf

The Cowboy Who Cried Wolf / The Shepherd Boy and His Tall Tales

Once upon a time, in a village, there lived a young cowboy/shepherd. He had the job of looking after cows in a field near a mountain. This cowboy/shepherd was mischievous and had a habit of not telling the truth. He enjoyed playing tricks on the people around him.

One day, while he was taking care of the cows, he thought of playing a prank on the villagers who were working nearby. He started yelling, "There's a wolf/tiger! Help, help!" Hearing his cries, the villagers rushed to his aid, worried about the danger. However, when they reached the field, they saw no wolf or tiger. Instead, they found the cowboy/shepherd laughing at them. They realized that he had tricked them with a false alarm.

After a few days, the cowboy/shepherd played the same trick again. The villagers, thinking he was in real danger, came running to help once more, only to find nothing amiss. This time, they were not pleased. They scolded him and warned him not to play such pranks.

But then, one fateful day, a real wolf or tiger appeared and threatened the cows. The cowboy/shepherd was genuinely scared and cried out for help. Unfortunately, the villagers didn't believe him this time. They thought it was just another one of his lies. The cowboy/shepherd managed to save himself by climbing a tree, but it was a close call.

The story teaches us an important lesson: we shouldn't tell lies just for fun. When we constantly lie, people stop believing us even when we're telling the truth. It's important to always be truthful and not to make jokes by telling lies, as playing with falsehoods can lead to serious consequences.
