Hello Shane,

How are you? It's really nice to hear from you after such a long time. I'm happy that you're interested in learning about our country and the people here.

Let's start by talking about where Bangladesh is on the map. It's a small country in South Asia, surrounded by India and the Bay of Bengal on one side, and Myanmar on the other side. Even though it's small, around 160 million people live here in an area of about 147,570 square kilometers. So, you can imagine, there are a lot of people in a small space. We gained our independence in 1971 after a tough fight against the Pakistani army. We're proud that we fought for our language too. That happened in 1952. We have a long history of culture, literature, and art that is very advanced and respected internationally.

People in Bangladesh are really hardworking and they're always ready to face challenges. They're also known for being very hospitable. When we have guests at our homes, we try our best to make them feel happy and entertained. We like to talk a lot, even to people we don't know well or who are from other countries like you. We're quite curious about people from different places, so sometimes we might ask personal questions. But don't worry, it's not meant to be invasive.

Anyway, this letter is getting quite long now. Maybe another time. I'd love to see some pictures of your country. Could you send me some? Take care.
