Write a letter to your friend describing the importance/necessity of learning English
Dear Shuvo,
I hope you're doing well. I got your last letter and heard about your fantastic achievement – congratulations on coming second in your class! However, I also noticed that you struggled a bit with English and barely passed the subject. I know you've been feeling uneasy about it.
First of all, big cheers for your impressive success! But I'm a bit concerned that someone as smart as you is finding English a bit tough. Maybe you don't really like English, and that's why it doesn't catch your interest. The thing is, Shuvo, English is a really important language. It's spoken by so many people all over the world. If you realized that without a good grasp of English, it's hard to do well in life, you might not be so worried about it. I remember you talking about wanting to study Law. But how can you become a famous lawyer if you're not comfortable with English? Most higher education needs a strong foundation in English. Also, you know, folks who know English often have a better chance of getting good jobs. And think about it – to talk with people from other countries or to use computers and the internet, being friends with English is a must.
So, don't stress too much. Give it another thought, set a fresh goal for yourself when it comes to English, and start learning with hope and determination. I believe, if you really want to, my words should be enough to inspire you to face your worries about English.
Wishing you lots of success ahead.
Warmly,
Sayem
