Once upon a time, there were two cats who sneaked into a kitchen and took a piece of bread. They couldn't agree on how to divide it between themselves, so they argued and exchanged angry words. Their quarrel was fruitless, and they were on the verge of fighting each other. Just then, a monkey showed up and heard the whole story. The monkey suggested that the cats should give him the bread, promising to divide it equally. The monkey broke the bread into two pieces, but one piece ended up slightly bigger than the other. To fix this, the monkey took a bite from the larger piece, making it smaller. However, this caused the second piece to become smaller than the first one. The monkey continued to nibble on the bread, trying to balance the sizes, but it only made things worse. In the end, the monkey cleverly ate the entire bread. The cats realized their foolishness and felt sorry for losing their bread.
