The name of our country is Bangladesh. It is in South Asia. It borders on India. It became independent from Pakistan in 16 December 1971. It is a democratic country. It is a member of the UNO. It is a developing country. Ours is a small country with a large population. About 160 million people live here. Most of the people are Muslims. In our country Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Buddhists live together. They are religious, brave, peaceful and hospitable. It is an agricultural country. Its main crops are rice, jute, tea, etc. Bangladesh is a land of rivers. Its main rivers are the Padma, the Jamuna and the Meghna. It has many historical places. Among them Cox's Bazar sea-beach, Sundarbans, Chittagong Hill Tracts, Rangamati, Sompura Vihara are worth mentioning. It is the darling child of nature. Its natural beauty charms all. I like my country most.
