Story | Speak The Truth But Not Hurtfully

Jupiter, a god, was getting married. He wanted to celebrate this happy occasion by throwing a big party. He invited all the animals that live on land and in water to join the feast. All the animals showed up except for the tortoise. Jupiter was really surprised and wondered why the tortoise didn't come.

After a few days, Jupiter found the tortoise and asked him, "Why weren't you at the party I threw for my wedding? Are you okay?" The tortoise replied, "I prefer staying at home and don't bother with small events. Why should I trouble myself when there's no place like home?" The tortoise's words were true, but the way he said them was hurtful. It upset Jupiter, so he put a curse on the tortoise, saying, "From now on, you will always carry your home on your back. You will never be able to unload it." And that's why every tortoise carries its home wherever it goes to this day.
