Story | The Foolish Stag

Once upon a time, there was a deer in a forest. He came across a pool of water and started drinking from it. While drinking, he noticed his reflection in the clear water. He felt very happy when he saw his beautiful and long antlers. However, his joy quickly turned to sadness because he felt ashamed of his thin and unattractive legs.

Suddenly, the deer noticed a group of dogs running towards him. He quickly turned around and ran as fast as he could, disappearing into the jungle. The dogs couldn't catch up with the swift deer. However, as the deer ran further away from the dogs, his long antlers got tangled in some bushes. He tried desperately to free himself, but his efforts were in vain.

At that moment, the foolish deer realized that his thin and unattractive legs had actually saved him from the dogs, while his beautiful antlers had attracted danger. Soon, the dogs caught up with him, seized him, and killed him.

The moral of the story is that not everything that looks attractive or shiny is necessarily valuable or good.
