Story | The Lion And The Hare

Once upon a time, there was a lion who was out looking for food during his usual evening walk. Luckily, he spotted a sleeping hare under a bush. He felt really happy because he didn't have to make much effort to get a meal! The lion was just about to pounce on the sleeping hare when he noticed a big deer passing by. He thought to himself, "I should go after the bigger prey. It will be a tastier meal for sure." So, the lion started chasing the deer, but he couldn't catch up to it. Eventually, he gave up and went back to where the hare was sleeping. But when he got there, the hare was gone. The little animal had woken up and moved to a safer place. It was dark by now, so the lion had to go hungry. He quietly said to himself, "I got what I deserved. If I had been satisfied with the hare, I wouldn't be starving now." Being greedy for more can cause you to lose what you already have.
