Story | The Lion Going To War
One day, the King of the Forest called a meeting. He was getting ready for a war and wanted to give each animal a job to do. He said to the Elephant, "Elephant, you should carry all the weapons of war on your back and fight with great strength." Then the Lion told the Bear, "Get ready to join the fight if the enemy starts pushing us back. We might need your help." He said to the Fox, "Your task is to uncover any secret plans the enemy may have." Then he called the Monkey and said, "Make sure to entertain the enemies with your tricks." While all the animals were waiting for their instructions, one of them said, "What's the use of the Ass and the Hare? They're too scared to fight. Let's send them home." But the King said, "Everyone has a role to play. Without their help, we would be incomplete." Then the King said, "The Ass will be our trumpeter to scare the enemy. And the quick Hare will bring back the news of our victory." That's how the wise King got all the animals involved and ready for battle.
