Story | The Spaniel And The Mastiff

One day, there was a friendly Spaniel and a grumpy Mastiff traveling on the same road. The Spaniel, who didn't know the Mastiff at all, approached him politely and asked, "Can I walk with you on this journey, please?" The Mastiff replied, "Sure, you can walk with me if you want."

So both dogs started walking together and talking to each other. Mastiffs are really big and protective dogs by nature, but they can also be very fierce. Soon, they arrived at the next village. That's when the Mastiff began to show his mean side. He growled at everyone he met for no reason and even started jumping and snapping at them.

The villagers, who were annoyed and concerned, quickly came out with big sticks. They wanted to protect their own dogs, so they mercilessly struck both dogs. Unfortunately, the poor Spaniel also got beaten badly just because he was seen with the nasty Mastiff.

Feeling sad and hurt, the Spaniel said, "Oh no, I've never been beaten like this before. Now I understand that making friends too quickly with strangers can be a bad thing. Your good or bad luck depends on the kind of friends you choose!"

Moral: Stay away from bad company because it can bring you trouble and ruin.
