The Discontented Dog - Moral Story for Kids

Once upon a time, there was a dog napping on the ground. He spotted a cat sitting on a tall wall. The dog thought to himself, "Wow, that cat is so lucky. I wish I could climb like that."

Later, the dog saw a goldfish swimming around in a fish tank. He felt jealous once again and imagined how wonderful it would be to swim in the cool water.

Unexpectedly, the fish spoke to him, saying, "The grass over there looks warm and comfy. I wish I could rest on it." Just then, a sparrow flew by and commented, "Oh, the joy of playing in the sun all day! I wish I didn't have to search for food and strain my wings."

Listening to all these perspectives, the dog came to realize how fortunate he actually was, and he started valuing the things he already had.

Moral: It often appears that things are better on the other side. However, true happiness comes from appreciating what we already possess.
