Digital Bangladesh Composition
A country becomes a digital country when most of its government and non-government work is done online using the internet. This means the society relies a lot on information and technology. "Digital Bangladesh" is the idea of making our country digital with the help of the internet. The government wants to use the internet in all areas of development in Bangladesh. To make people more familiar with the internet, a political party called Awami League included this idea in their plan in 2008. Since then, the government has been working to make the country digital.
Even though we are an independent country, we are falling behind in developing various businesses and private sectors because we are not yet fully digital. To fix this, the government is using computers and the internet in areas like governance, commerce, education, and agriculture. They are also using the internet to tackle problems like unemployment, population, poverty, illiteracy, corruption, natural disasters, and food shortages.
The main idea of digital Bangladesh is to use technology for digital governance, e-commerce, e-agriculture, e-production, and e-education. This requires having uninterrupted power supply and a good computer network system. It is essential for people from all walks of life to have basic knowledge of information and communication technology (ICT).
A digital Bangladesh will bring many benefits. It will save time and money, reduce unemployment, and make people more aware of the internet, cybersecurity, and cybercrime. It will also connect our people with the rest of the world and keep them informed about international decisions and developments. Even though it may be expensive, every sector will benefit from this move.
The current government is working hard on this and their efforts are commendable. It is expected that Bangladesh will soon become a fully digital country, taking a step towards becoming a developed nation.
