Dengue Fever Paragraph
Dengue fever has become a big problem in Bangladesh. People in our country are very worried about this dangerous disease. There aren't enough beds in hospitals and clinics. Dengue is a serious fever caused by a tiny virus called RNA. This virus comes from a mosquito called 'Adies Egypty' which is from Africa. The mosquito lays eggs in still water. There are two kinds of dengue fever: Classical and Hemorrhagic. Dengue virus has 4 types, named DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3, DEN-4. Any of these can cause dengue fever, but DEN-2 and DEN-3 are the most dangerous. They can cause very serious Hemorrhagic dengue fever.
Classical dengue fever is not as bad as Hemorrhagic. Signs of classical dengue fever include high fever, throwing up, tummy pain, strong headache, joint pain, and pain in the back of the eyes. Sometimes the joint pain is so bad that it feels like your bones might break. That's why it's called 'breakbone fever'. People usually get better in about 3 to 4 days. They might feel weak and not want to eat much.
But Hemorrhagic dengue fever can make someone die. The signs are worse than classical dengue fever. People bleed a lot with these signs. They might bleed from their gums and nose. You can see clotted blood and red spots under the skin. People might vomit blood. Their eyes might have clotted blood, too. Their stool might be black because of blood. Blood can also gather inside the brain and heart. This can make the person go into shock and die. Dengue fever is not something you can catch from another person. But there's no strong medicine for it yet. Doctors give medicines for pain and throwing up. They also give salt water, but it's not enough.
The best way to deal with dengue fever is to stop it before it starts. We have to get rid of the Adie's mosquito. To do that, we need to keep our surroundings clean and free of still water. People with dengue fever should eat good food and drink a lot of water. If everyone knows what to do, we can get rid of dengue fever in our country.
