An Astrologer and a King Story
Once upon a time, there was a king in India. He really liked to hear about what would happen to him in the future from people who studied the stars. One day, a smart person who could tell the future, called an astrologer, came to the king's main city. The king found out about how good the astrologer was and quickly invited him to the royal court. The king asked the astrologer about what was going to happen in his life. The astrologer said something not-so-nice. This made the king really angry, and he decided to punish the astrologer by making him die.
When they were taking the astrologer to the place where he was going to be killed, the king asked him, "How much longer will you live?" The astrologer, who was really clever, answered quickly, "I will only die a week before you die." Then he added with a smart attitude, "I'll be waiting for you in the afterlife wherever you're sending me." This answer made the king's face turn pale, like a person who had died, and he yelled, "Get this person out of here and don't ever let him come back!" The astrologer coolly said, "Well, goodbye then!" He managed to get away from the king's anger and punishment in a clever way.
