Rural Development of Bangladesh Composition

Bangladesh's rural development is extremely important. The villages are crucial parts of our country, with about seventy-five percent of people living there. If we take care of these villages, the entire country will benefit.

In the past, villages were in a terrible condition. They were mainly seen as places to collect taxes, and the rich landowners took advantage of the poor villagers. When the British ruled our country, they only focused on cities and towns, neglecting the rural areas, leading to great poverty and trouble. Some kind-hearted individuals like Titumir, Gandhi, Rabindranath, A.K. Fazlul Haq, and Maulana Bhasani realized the importance of developing the villages.

Currently, rural areas in Bangladesh are frustrating. Poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, social conflicts, village politics, and crimes are common issues. There are only a few educational institutions in rural areas, and the roads and farming methods are outdated. Many villages lack access to technology and electricity, which is the situation in most villages.

However, things are starting to change for the better. Villages are transforming into mini towns. Electricity, television, satellite TV, computers, internet, and mobile phones have already reached the villages. Modern tools like power tillers and electrical motor pumps are replacing old farming methods. Dairy and poultry farming are also becoming popular. Villages now have markets and bazaars supplying essential goods.

For the overall improvement of Bangladesh, rural development is essential. The government and the people should work together to genuinely develop the rural areas. This way, our country can become honorable and prosper.
