A Pleasant Revenge Story

Once upon a time, there was a ruler who heard that some of the people far away were rebelling against him. He thought, "Okay, I'll go there and beat the bad guys." So, he went to fight them, but when he got there, they surrendered without a fight. Everyone thought he would punish them really hard. But surprisingly, he treated them kindly and nicely instead.

One of his top advisors said, "Hey, you said you'd defeat your enemies, but you're being nice to them. Did you break your promise?" The ruler replied, "I said I'd defeat my enemies, but now they're not my enemies anymore. I've made friends with them. So, I didn't break my promise."

Just like this ruler, we should also be good to people who are mean to us. It's like turning your enemies into friends by being nice to them.
