Bangladesh is a nice country. Birds make it even more beautiful. At night, we hear the sweet songs of different birds when we wake up early in the morning.
We have different types of birds here. They have different colors, sizes, and habits. They are divided into many groups.
The crow is a tricky bird. It is very common in Bangladesh. It is clever but looks ugly. Still, it is useful because it eats dead animals and dirty things. The kite is similar in habit and nature.
The cuckoo, the shyama, the doel, the koel, the mayna, and the nightingale are known as songbirds. The cuckoo is the most popular among them. It comes to our country at the beginning of spring. The doel is our national bird.
The dove, the pigeon, the snipe, the heron, and the pankauri are well-known game birds. People like them for their meat.
The vulture and the hawk are birds that hunt and eat flesh and fish. These birds have sharp eyes and nails.
Some birds build their nests skillfully. These birds are called tailor birds. The swallow, the tuntuni, and the babui are examples of tailor birds.
During autumn and winter, many game birds come from other countries. They add to the natural beauty of our country temporarily.
The pigeon, the hen, and the duck are domestic birds. They give us meat and eggs. Birds are our natural treasure. They help and benefit us in many ways. So, we should not randomly kill birds. We should take good care of them.
