Digital Bangladesh Composition
Digital Bangladesh means a Bangladesh that uses digital technology in everything the government and other organizations do. In the 9th National Parliamentary election manifesto, the Awami League pledged to make Bangladesh a digital country by 2021.
Bangladesh gained independence about 45 years ago, but it still faces many problems like overpopulation, poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, inadequate education, corruption, power shortages, and unplanned urbanization. To address these issues, the current government aims to create a Digital Bangladesh. The goal is to establish e-governance, e-commerce, e-agriculture, e-education, e-production, and more, to simplify processes and promote overall development.
A Digital Bangladesh would connect people globally, improving their lives and saving time and money. It would also enhance banking and financial activities, making transactions faster and easier. Crucially, it would bring transparency and reduce corruption. A modern digital supervising system would support an independent anti-corruption commission, leading to a corruption-free, developed Bangladesh.
By 2021, Bangladesh's 50th Independence anniversary, the government is committed to overcoming the crisis with digitalization. This vision offers hope to the people, and we expect it to become a reality.
