Fruits of Bangladesh Composition

Bangladesh has many delicious fruits. The soil is fertile, so various fruits grow all year round.

Fruits differ in size, color, and taste. Some are big, others small. Some are sweet, while others are sour. Some are solid, others juicy.

The mango is the most popular fruit, especially in summer. There are many types, like Langra, Fazli, Gopalbhog, and Mohanbhog. These mangoes are famous for their taste and sweetness. Fazli is also known for its large size. They grow abundantly in Rajshahi, Dinajpur, and Borga.

The jackfruit is the largest fruit in Bangladesh. It's green on the outside and yellow inside, with a rough and prickly skin.

Bananas are also widely enjoyed. They grow all year round, and there are many kinds like champa, sabri, and amritsagar. Amritasagar from Dhaka and Sabri from Mymensing are the best.

Coconut is another popular fruit, found everywhere but in abundance in Khulna, Barisal, and Patuakhali. Its sweet, cold water quenches our thirst in hot weather, and the kernel is tasty.

Pineapple is a good fruit of the rainy season, grown plentifully in Sylhet, filled with sweet juice.

Lychee grows all over Bangladesh, but mostly in Rajshahi. It's very small and sweet, loved by children.

Oranges are juicy and tasty, good for the liver, and mainly grown in Sylhet. Papaw is also delicious and nutritious, beneficial for the liver, and grows all over Bangladesh.

Among other fruits, blackberries, dates, plums, melons, and guava are well known. They are also loved by children. Melons have watery juice, cooling and refreshing, while guavas are rich in vitamins.

Some fruits taste sour, like tamarind, kamranga, and lemon.

Although many fruits grow in Bangladesh, some go to waste due to lack of care and processing. We should grow more fruits and export them to earn foreign exchange. Promoting fruit culture can improve our national health. The government should take steps to encourage fruit cultivation and proper processing systems.
