Honesty is The Best Policy Story
Once upon a time, there was a poor but good farmer who lived in a village. He didn't have much money, but he worked hard on his small piece of land to take care of his wife and seven children. One day, as he was walking through his fields, he started thinking about ways to make more money. While walking, he found a bag of gold that someone had dropped. He picked it up and took it home to show his wife.
His wife suggested that they should use the gold for themselves, at least a little bit, to improve their lives. However, the honest farmer had a different idea. He believed that being truthful was the best way to live. He told his wife that he wanted to find the person who had lost the gold and return it to them. The farmer was determined to do the right thing.
After some searching, the farmer finally found out who the owner of the gold was. It turned out to be a very wealthy man. The farmer returned the bag of gold to him, and the wealthy man was grateful. However, he didn't give the farmer any reward for his honesty. This made the farmer's wife upset, and she scolded her husband for not keeping the gold.
But the farmer remained steadfast in his belief. He kept saying that honesty was the best way to live, even though he didn't receive any reward for his actions.
