The Natural Beauties of Bangladesh

Bangladesh is the beloved child of nature. Nature has bestowed her bountiful natural beauties upon this beloved child.

It is a land of six seasons. Each season possesses its own unique characteristics. During each season, Nature presents herself in a fresh guise before us. In Bangladesh, summer is scorching hot. The sun shines relentlessly. However, occasionally, a refreshing breeze blows, granting relief from the intense heat. In the afternoon, people gather in open fields to savor the rejuvenating breeze, feeling invigorated. Young boys engage in football and other outdoor games. At night, rural inhabitants sit in open fields, engaging in conversations and sometimes even sleep under the open sky. Urban dwellers, on the other hand, enjoy the pleasant breeze while sitting on their rooftops. This season witnesses the blooming of champa, beli, Karabi, jaba, and bakul flowers. Various fruits dangle from tree branches. Following summer, the rainy season arrives. The sky remains covered with clouds, and rain continues for days. Ponds, canals, rivers, all brim with water. This season showcases a variety of flowers, including Kadam, keya, hasna-hena, and juthi, putting on a grand display.

As white sails of clouds drift through the clear blue sky, autumn announces its arrival. People find respite from excessive rain and heat during this pleasant season. Nature adorns herself with a new wardrobe during autumn. Plants and trees look fresh and vibrant. The weather is neither too hot nor too cold. Shefali and water lilies bloom, adding beauty to the surroundings.

Late autumn follows, bringing a season of mist. Different crops and fruits ripen, presenting a grand view. The golden hue of ripe paddy fields glistens under the sun, resembling vast expanses of gold. Dewdrops fall on the ripe paddy, further enhancing its golden appearance.

Spring, the king of all seasons, arrives with numerous splendid natural gifts that rejuvenate our body and mind. It is the most delightful and beautiful season of the year. New leaves grace every leafless tree branch, breathing life into the landscape. The entire nature seems to rejoice at this time. A gentle breeze blows from the south, refreshing our minds. The air is filled with the melodious songs of numerous birds. The cuckoo returns and sings sweetly from behind the leaves. Another songbird, the bou katha kao, adds its sweet notes to the symphony of spring. The flowers also contribute to the vibrant display of colors.

Winter, too, possesses its own charm. Basking in the sun is delightful during this season. Winter brings abundance, offering a variety of vegetables and fishes.
