The Wolf and The Crane Story
Once upon a time, there was a wolf living in a big forest. This wolf was really mean and would hurt other animals. Because of this, all the animals in the forest were afraid of him. Even though they didn't like it, they didn't say anything because they felt they couldn't do anything about it.
One day, the wolf saw a young lamb eating grass at the bottom of a small hill. The wolf attacked the lamb, tore it apart, and started eating it. But then, there was a problem. A bone got stuck in the wolf's throat. No matter how much the wolf tried, it couldn't get the bone out.
By the riverside, there was a crane with a long beak. The crane was really hungry because it hadn't caught any fish for a while. The wolf went up to the crane and spoke gently, "Hey there, my friend. You look pretty weak. Are you hungry?" The crane answered, "Yes, I'm really hungry. I've been searching for fish all morning, but I haven't found any food."
The wolf said, "Don't worry. Could you please help me get this bone out of my throat using your beak? In return, I'll give you a tasty meal." The crane trusted the wolf and believed what he said. The crane carefully removed the bone from the wolf's throat. The wolf felt better and was really happy.
Then, the crane reminded the wolf about the promise of a delicious meal. The wolf, however, changed his tone and said, "You already got what you wanted." The crane was confused and asked, "How?" The wolf replied, "When you put your beak into my throat, I could have easily eaten you. But I showed you mercy. So you should be thankful to me." The crane realized that the wolf was planning to harm him and immediately flew away to safety.
