Paragraph on Failure in English
In our country, many students struggle with English and often fail in this subject. There are several reasons behind their failure, which are not hard to find. Firstly, our education system has flaws. The English textbooks used by students are not appropriate for their needs. Secondly, students lack motivation to learn English. They believe that it is unnecessary to invest time in learning the language, especially since English is a foreign language and seems difficult to them. They perceive learning English as a mere waste of time. Thirdly, most of the so-called English teachers are not proficient in the language. They lack the necessary skills and training to teach students effectively. They are unable to employ scientific teaching methods. Fourthly, students resort to rote memorization of answers. However, during exams, they often forget what they have memorized, leading to incorrect answers.
To address these issues, it is important to improve our flawed education system. The English textbooks should be better suited to the students' needs. Efforts should be made to encourage students to learn English by highlighting its importance. Schools and colleges should appoint more trained and competent teachers who have a strong command of the English language. These teachers should utilize scientific teaching methods in the classroom and deliver lectures in simple and clear English.
