Paragraph on The National Memorial
The National Memorial in Savar is a special place that represents our country's deep respect for the brave soldiers who fought in the War of Liberation. It is made of a strong material called concrete and stands tall at a height of 150 feet. It is a remarkable achievement that can be measured in size, but its significance goes beyond measurement. It symbolizes an extraordinary accomplishment that cannot be quantified. The memorial stands proudly for the millions of soldiers who sacrificed their lives so that we can live with honor and dignity among the nations of the world.
The most noticeable part of the memorial is a tower that reaches a height of 150 feet. It sits on a base that is 130 feet wide. In fact, there are seven towers in total, arranged in stages, all reaching the same height of 150 feet. The construction of the memorial began on the first anniversary of Victory Day, a significant day for our country.
There are plans to create a large complex in multiple phases around the memorial. This entire complex will cover an area of 126 acres. The plan includes the construction of a mosque, a library, and a museum. The museum will house important artifacts and items from the liberation war. These items will serve as a reminder to our fellow citizens and visitors about the brave struggle and immense sacrifices made by a people who love freedom.
One of the most touching aspects of the complex is the presence of several graves of the freedom fighters who lost their lives. These graves are located near the tower. When we stand in front of these graves, we humbly bow our heads in a gesture of respect and honor.
