Paragraph on Poverty
Poverty is when people don't have enough money to afford basic things they need in life like food, housing, clothes, healthcare, and education. It has different aspects. Poverty means going hungry and not having enough food to eat, being sick and not being able to get medical help, and not being able to go to school or read and write.
Today, many people all over the world are living in poverty. It means feeling insecure, helpless, and left out from society. It means being in a vulnerable and humiliating position. Some people suffer from extreme poverty, which means they don't even have enough resources to stay healthy.
Another kind of poverty is relative poverty. This is when people don't meet the minimum standards of living set by the government compared to the rest of the population. Poverty has a negative impact on people and it holds back the progress and development of society as a whole. Preventing poverty is a big global issue.
