Bangladesh is a country with a hot climate and mostly flat land. It experiences floods every year, and its neighboring country, India, also plays a significant role in this issue. During the rainy season, India opens its gates, which leads to an increase in the water level in Bangladesh. Floods have become a common problem here, and some of the major ones have caused the loss of thousands of lives.

Each year, the country faces a significant crisis in providing food and relief aid to the flood victims. Additionally, the cities in Bangladesh are not well-planned, lacking a proper water drainage system. As a result, when heavy rainfall occurs, the water gets stuck in one place, causing small-scale floods. These floods render millions of people homeless and result in the loss of domestic animals and property.

The government makes efforts to assist people by providing food and medicine. However, many people still succumb to various waterborne diseases. People attempt to live in makeshift shelters they build themselves or with the help of volunteers. Overall, the flood problem in Bangladesh is a critical issue that cannot be easily resolved.
