Two Rats and the Monkey
Two Mice and a Tricky Monkey
Once upon a time, two little mice snuck into a nearby house and took a piece of soft bread. They wanted to share it equally between themselves.
But, here's the catch: they couldn't agree on what "equally" meant. Both mice really wanted to have the bigger piece of bread, and they wouldn't budge. They even got into a serious fight over it. Eventually, they decided to go to a monkey for help. This monkey was known as the smartest animal in the forest, so they thought he could solve the problem fairly.
Off they went to the monkey, carrying the bread with them. They asked the monkey to divide the bread into two fair parts. The monkey agreed, but he had a sneaky plan. He cut the bread in a way that didn't make it equal at all. Then he quickly ate a small piece of the bigger half, making it even more uneven. He kept doing this until the bread was really tiny.
The mice caught on to the monkey's trick. They told the monkey to stop and asked for their bread back. But the monkey didn't stop his trickery. He said that the remaining pieces were his reward for helping them.
Moral of the story: When you try to take everything for yourself, you might end up losing it all.
