Bangladeshi Culture Paragraph
(a) What does Bangladesh possess?
(b) What is occurring within our culture?
(c) What is the shifting pattern in our nation?
(d) Through what means are people being affected?
Bangladesh owns a very ancient, abundant, and distinct cultural legacy. We have our own language, clothing, eating habits, speaking manners, behavior styles, sports and games, societal norms, religious beliefs, professions, music, arts, literature, and so on. We possess songs depicting rural and picturesque life. We have traditional folk songs and local theatrical performances called "jatra-pala". Our marriage systems are established based on religious and social principles. We observe "Pahela Baishakh" as the start of the Bengali New Year. Our dietary habits involve rice and fish consumption. Men wear lungi and shirts, while women wear saris and blouses. We engage in local games such as Ha-du-du, Gollachhut, Dariabandha, Bowchi, Kanamachhi, and more. However, even with our rich cultural identity, there is now a blending of foreign cultures, especially from India and the Western world. Satellite TV channels are playing a major role in influencing our old traditions and customs. People are showing less interest in traditional folk songs and are more drawn to Hindi and English music. Marriage customs and celebrations have also become shorter. People are adopting foreign cultures in terms of food and clothing. Thus, we observe that while Bangladesh has a distinct culture of its own, it is being influenced by other cultures.
